Tribute poster of James Jamerson, the greatest bass player of all time.  Jamerson was the bass player for a group of studio musicians collectively known as “The Funk Brothers.”  These musicians were the studio band at Motown records in Detroit during the late 1950’s until the early 1970’s.  James Jamerson is recognized as the kingpin to the sound created by this band, known as “the Motown sound.”
Jamerson is shown playing his Fender Precision bass, known as “The Funk Machine.”
